Transitions
Change typically ushers in promotion and new responsibilities. I Corinthians 13:11 tells us, “When I was a child, I spoke as a child; I understood as a child; I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.” For many students, their promotion from elementary to middle school brings about such eye-opening requirements as no longer having a single teacher, memorizing a combination number to a locker, and to their dismay, no longer having recess. For some, this transition can be rough but eventually normalizes. Is there a transition in your life that requires you to “put away childish things”?
