Cultivating Mental Wellness

Gardening had an influential role in my childhood. It can be a labor-intense job for some. To others, it is an enjoyable hobby. And to still others, gardening is a living lesson. There are valuable lessons to be gained from breaking fallow ground, plowing, planting, watering, weeding, and tending crops. Christ Jesus repeatedly used the principles of gardening as metaphors in teachable moments. Here at Grow Forward, we hope to identify some of the lessons Christ taught and apply them to mental wellness.

Celebrate the Gift of His Son

But for the merciful and mighty Hand of God shaping every corner of my life, I am lost. That is not an exaggeration. My life has been challenging yet blessed. Yes, I make mistakes. Yes, I am forgiven. Today, I celebrate the presence of God in my life. I celebrate the Gift of God of His only Son Jesus who gave His life. I am forgiven by His blood. If today you have not accepted Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, please, consider the next box: His invitation.

The Invitation

God loves you. He sent His only son, Jesus, to die for you so that you would not bear the punishment for your sins. To be forgiven of sin and free in this life on earth and have everlasting life in the next, you only need to believe in the birth, death, burial, and resurrection of Christ Jesus. Open your heart, and ask Him to come in. Romans 10:13 says, “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Go ahead, He is listening.
